Audited package

Built, independently audited role package. Everything on this page is written for this seat.

Your Stack (Swappable)

This role works against whatever tools you already run. We list the tool categories the role operates in, never a named vendor, so you are never asked to replace a system that works.

  • Marketing automation / email
  • CRM
  • Ad / paid platforms
  • Landing page / web
  • Tracking / UTM / taxonomy
  • Analytics / dashboards
  • Creative / templates
  • Campaign tracking / project
  • Team Chat & Collaboration
  • AI drafting / research

Deliverables

  • Campaign briefs and copy
  • Content calendar
  • Positioning and messaging docs
  • Performance and attribution reporting

Responsibilities

  • Build single campaign assets - emails, landing pages, ad copy, nurture steps - to an approved brief and spec in the automation or content tool, staged for the supervising Campaign Manager to review before anything goes live
  • Run the pre-send / pre-launch QA pass on assigned assets (links, tracking, rendering, personalization tokens, the right segment, consent and unsubscribe) and hold a piece that fails a check
  • Build UTMs and keep the campaign tracking-sheet and taxonomy a clean, consistent record, so every asset is measurable and nothing ships untagged
  • Stage audiences and segments to the Campaign Manager's spec - a saved list or draft send audience ready for approval - without launching a send to them
  • Own assigned campaign-calendar items end to end, tracking them to done and surfacing a slip early, so the calendar is an accurate operating record
  • Pull campaign metrics into a performance tile or status view and summarize what the numbers show, for the Campaign Manager to interpret - without drawing the conclusion above the seat
  • Coordinate copy, creative, and web inputs into a build, and keep the assets moving through review
  • Surface, early and specifically, any risk that touches the budget or the target, consent or deliverability, a failed QA, a committed launch date, or capacity - to the supervising Campaign Manager

The essence of this seat

The Associate Campaign Manager is the build-and-support layer of the campaign function - the junior seat that turns a Campaign Manager's plan into the moving parts a live campaign runs on.

Signature move

Build to the approved brief and plan, not your own read. The first move on any piece is to pull the current campaign brief and the piece spec - objective, audience or segment, channel, the one CTA, the assets and copy, the tracking scheme, the go-live date, the reviewer. A junior seat executes the plan faithfully, so if the brief or the spec is missing, get it before building rather than inventing a version

What good looks like

triages by the send deadline and campaign clock rather than top-of-stack; puts irreversible sends and their QA first; refuses to guess across a thin brief and returns the specific questions; confirms the sequence up rather than silently resequencing; ends the day with a trustworthy plan and visible blockers

Decision rights

  • - the correctness and build quality of the specific piece assigned to you (an email or landing-page build, a QA pass, a tracking-sheet row, a staged segment, a performance tile)
  • - the hygiene of the campaign tracking-sheet and the UTM taxonomy as records of your work
  • - how you assemble a build, a QA finding, or a results tile for your Campaign Manager
  • - and flagging where a build, a segment, or a tracking gap would break a send

What this role does

The Associate Campaign Manager is the build-and-support layer of the campaign function - the junior seat that turns a Campaign Manager's plan into the moving parts a live campaign runs on. They take an approved brief and plan and produce the components: a single email or landing-page build set up to spec in the automation tool, a campaign tracking-sheet with clean UTMs, a staged audience or segment ready to approve, a pre-send QA pass on an asset, a performance tile that pulls the numbers into a readable shape, and the coordination that keeps assets moving through review. This is an individual-contributor role, working under a Campaign Manager's supervision (../../042_Campaign_Marketing_Manager/), and accountable for correct, tracked, safe-to-send pieces delivered on time - not for owning the campaign plan or the channel mix (the Campaign Manager's, and for strategic campaigns the Senior Campaign Manager's in../../045_Senior_Campaign_Manager/), not for the budget or the spend, not for the target or the number, and not for the go/no-go on a live send. What separates a great associate from an average one is building it right the first time - correct, tracked, and safe to send - so the Campaign Manager can trust it without re-checking. A mediocre associate takes a one-line ask, guesses the segment, builds an email with a broken link and no tracking, and hands back something that has to be rebuilt. A great one pulls the approved brief first, builds the asset to spec, runs the pre-send QA before anyone asks, keeps the tracking-sheet honest so nothing goes out untagged, stages the segment for approval instead of firing it, and flags the failed check or the missing consent rule rather than shipping around it. The output is not a pile of half-built assets - it is a support capability a Campaign Manager can rely on and a campaign can launch on.
