These terms govern your purchase and use of role packages from The Hired Company, a PauseTech product. By buying or installing a package you agree to them.
What you are buying
A role package is a licensed set of documents and configuration that you install into your own AI environment. You are buying a licence to use it inside your business, not ownership of the underlying library.
A subscription keeps your packages current while it is active: new versions, new sub-agents, and new roles added to a family or category you own. A one-time purchase is the version you bought, frozen.
What you may not do
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the packages, in whole or in substantial part, to anyone outside your organisation.
You may adapt a package for your own internal use. Derivative works remain subject to these terms.
Your responsibilities
You provide your own AI subscriptions and tools, and you are responsible for the accounts and access you grant a package.
Role packages are designed for human supervision. You remain accountable for reviewing, approving, and acting on anything they produce.
Billing
One-time purchases are charged in full at checkout. The optional updates subscription, if you add it, bills monthly or annually in advance and renews until you cancel.
Cancelling the updates subscription stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period. You keep every version you have already downloaded.
Digital goods and refunds
Role packages are digital goods, delivered by download. Because a downloaded package cannot be returned, all sales are final once you have downloaded a package from your order.
Before you download, your purchase is refundable: if you have not yet downloaded any package from an order, email support@pausetechlabs.com and we will refund it. We log each download, so we can confirm whether a package has been downloaded.
At checkout you acknowledge that you are buying digital goods and that your right to a refund ends once you download. Where mandatory consumer-protection laws give you additional rights, those rights are not affected.
No warranty of outcome
We make no guarantee of business results, and we make no compliance certification claims. Packages are provided as they are, to be deployed within the review process you consider appropriate.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to active customers before they take effect.
