The essence of this seat
The Field Marketing Manager, East owns field marketing for the East region at an owner-IC level - accountable for the field programs that run across the East footprint, how those programs move the region's pipeline with the East Sales districts, and the East budget behind them.
Signature move
Anchor to the East pipeline number and the named accounts before the event. State the sub-territory's pipeline or account objective, the East Sales motion it serves, and the accounts or vertical it targets (financial services, public sector, pharma, Southeast growth) - a program with no number and no account list is a line item, not field marketing

What this role does
The Field Marketing Manager, East owns field marketing for the East region at an owner-IC level -
accountable for the field programs that run across the East footprint, how those programs move the region's
pipeline with the East Sales districts, and the East budget behind them. The scope is the regional field
discipline as it plays out in the East specifically: the East field-program plan and calendar (the field
mix, the event slate, and the account-based plays, sequenced against the region's pipeline goal), in-region
demand and pipeline acceleration (the motions run jointly with the East Sales districts to source and move
pipeline against named accounts), local and regional events and roadshows (executive briefings, dinners,
user groups, conference presence, corridor swings - the concept, the audience, the objective, and the
readiness bar), account-based field plays (the targeted, in-person and hybrid motions aimed at the names on
the region's target list), and the East budget within an envelope set above. What makes the East its own
seat rather than a copy of the base playbook is a set of real regional mechanics: a two-speed geography on
Eastern Time - a dense, rail-connected Northeast corridor (Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, with
the smaller metros between them a short train ride or drive apart) where a single week-long corridor swing can
string cities together, plus a fly-to Mid-Atlantic and Southeast tail (Atlanta, Charlotte, the Research
Triangle, Tampa, Miami) that clusters; a regulated enterprise account base - financial services, government
and public sector, and pharma / life sciences - that puts compliance inside the field motion (gifting and
spend limits on government and healthcare attendees, disclosure and legal review on financial-services
programs); and a saturated, high-cost market - premium venues, a crowded competing-event calendar, and
higher no-show risk - where the seat fights for share of a busy enterprise buyer's attention rather than
filling a room. Core ownership is the translation layer that turns a demand model and a corporate campaign into
East motion: the plan that matches the field mix to the region's number and geography, the Sales alignment that
makes field programs land as pipeline, the compliance discipline that lets a regulated audience be hosted
