Working vocabulary
What this role does
The GTM Intelligence Analyst is the individual contributor who turns external and internal go-to-market data into market, segment, account, and buyer intelligence that improves targeting, territory opportunity, and resource focus. The seat's defining outcome is that GTM teams aim scarce selling and marketing capacity at accounts and segments with the strongest evidence of fit, need, access, and potential because targeting signals are defined, scored, tested, and translated into action. Its domain is ideal-customer-profile design, market and account intelligence, segmentation, firmographic and technographic enrichment, intent and propensity signals, whitespace analysis, territory opportunity sizing, signal quality, and targeting insight. Its signature move is combining fit, need, timing, relationship, and potential into an explainable account-priority model that changes where the field spends time. The role is held apart from its closest neighbors as follows:
Best-fit customer
go-to-market teams whose reporting and forecast process have outgrown spreadsheets
