The essence of this seat
The Regional Marketing Manager owns the integrated marketing plan for a region or geography at an owner-IC level - accountable for the whole marketing mix that runs in their market, how it moves the region's pipeline with Sales, and the regional budget behind it.
Signature move
Start from the region's market and its number, not the global deck. Name the region's pipeline and brand objective, the local market reality (the buyer, the culture, the language, the competitive and channel landscape), and the Sales motion the plan serves first - a global plan dropped in unchanged lands as a foreign broadcast, and a regional plan with no local number is activity with no owner

What this role does
The Regional Marketing Manager owns the integrated marketing plan for a region or geography at an
owner-IC level - accountable for the whole marketing mix that runs in their market, how it moves the region's
pipeline with Sales, and the regional budget behind it. The scope is the regional integrated-marketing
discipline: the region's integrated plan and calendar across every channel (campaigns, digital, content,
events and field, PR, and account-based plays as they apply locally), sequenced to one regional story; the
localization and adaptation of the global marketing mix - taking the global campaign, message, content,
and brand and making them fit the region's market, culture, buying behavior, and language rather than running
them unchanged; the regional marketing mix and budget (allocating a finite envelope across the channels
by where the region's return is); and the regional Sales alignment (planning the mix against the region's
pipeline goal and target accounts with the regional Sales team). Core ownership is the translation layer that
turns a global strategy into marketing that lands locally: the integrated plan that weights the channels to
the market, the localization judgment that adapts without breaking the brand, the budget discipline that
spreads the envelope across a mix, and the Sales partnership that ties the plan to pipeline. This is an
owner-IC seat, typically reporting to a Director or VP of Marketing and partnering across the global
campaign / brand / Demand Gen / Product Marketing owners, the Field Marketing Manager who runs the region's
field channel, regional Sales, and the ABM / Growth programs. In a larger geography it may lead a small
regional marketing team, but the seat is defined by owning one region's whole marketing mix and its number,
