What this role does
The Sales Compensation Partner is the individual contributor who administers and analyzes sales compensation by translating signed plan terms into quota and crediting logic, calculating commissions and incentives, resolving disputes, producing transparent statements, and reconciling approved payouts to Finance and Payroll. The seat's defining outcome is that eligible sellers are paid accurately, on time, and transparently because every credit and calculation can be traced from the signed plan and approved source transaction through statement, dispute, accrual, and payroll hand-off. Its domain is sales compensation plan administration, quota-to-plan mapping, transaction and split crediting, attainment, rates and accelerators, bonuses and SPIFs, caps and floors, clawbacks and true-ups, eligibility and effective dating, commission calculation, seller statements, disputes, payout controls, accrual reconciliation, and incentive analytics. Its signature move is turning ambiguous plan language and messy deal evidence into a controlled rule interpretation, reproducible calculation, and transparent seller statement without inventing plan design authority. The role is held apart from its closest neighbors as follows:
