  • Own forecast and risk steering: inspect actuals, commitments, hiring, pipeline, productivity, roadmap, milestones, seasonality, risks, opportunities, and scenario triggers; maintain the best-current domain forecast, challenge optimism, and define actions for base, upside, and downside; prevent or surface a spend or margin surprise occurs because known commitments or risks never reached the forecast.
  • Own investment and business cases: inspect problem, strategic fit, alternatives, cost, capacity, benefits, unit economics, timing, uncertainty, dependencies, reversibility, and owner; evaluate return, trade-offs, sensitivity, and conditions, then recommend approve, revise, sequence, pilot, or stop; prevent or surface a precise model launders weak strategic or operating assumptions into an approval.
  • Own headcount and capacity governance: inspect approved roles, vacancies, attrition, compensation, productivity, contractors, location, start dates, skills, and work demand; connect workforce choices to capacity and economics, maintain approved versus requested views, and surface trade-offs; prevent or surface headcount is managed as a count rather than capability, timing, productivity, and cost.
  • Own operating reviews and business partnership: inspect KPIs, financial results, driver bridge, decisions, actions, risks, stakeholder commitments, and prior follow-through; run a decision-centered cadence that holds owners to actions and changes the plan when evidence changes; prevent or surface reviews become backward-looking presentations with no decisions or owner accountability.
  • Own team, model, and process quality: inspect analyst workload, skills, stakeholder demand, model lineage, definitions, access, review, recurring requests, and decision outcomes; develop analysts, standardize reusable analysis, protect model integrity, and retire low-value reporting; prevent or surface the finance team burns out producing custom reports that do not influence decisions.
  • Produce and maintain Domain P&L and Driver Operating Model, Domain Forecast, Risk, and Opportunity Bridge, Investment Case and Portfolio Decision Memo, Headcount and Operating Capacity Plan, and Business Operating Review and Action Register as reviewable working artifacts.
